2026 Nu Rho Scholarship Contest
The Omega Psi Phi, Nu Rho Chapter, is pleased to announce we are accepting applications for our scholarship awards for the 2025-2026 academic year. We are soliciting Albuquerque and surrounding high school graduating seniors to compete for a scholarship that will be awarded May 2026. The scholarship criteria are as follows:
Academic performance and eligible to graduate (minimum 2.5 average GPA). Copy of transcript and school counselor initials from current institution are required.)
Two letters of recommendation (written by someone other than a relative)
Essay of 750 words but no more than 900 words that answers the following question:
What are the positive and negative impacts of social media on today’s youth, and in what ways should social media be regulated to help reduce its potential negative effects on young people’s mental well being?
